Champions of IrelandChampions of Ireland: the Harp

Part of a series on the traditional instruments of Ireland.

The producer of this album, Raymond Smyth wrote in the album notes,

Enchantment: Cluain

An early recording by the Connemara based group Cluain which was made up of Lynn on the harp, Barbara Callan on vocals and guitar, Dave Hogan on whistles and bodhrán and vocals, and Liz Kane on fiddle.

Cluain played throughout Connemara for a number of years and also toured in Germany and France.

Autumn Shades

Lynn and Aoife Carmody feature on this recording by Leitrim-based French singer Didier Matherat.

Just the Motion (Betty and the Baby Boomers)

The latest eagerly-awaited recording by the Boomers has Lynn's harp on two songs including "Turn, Turn,Turn" by Pete Seeger. Pronounced "A beautiful record" in a note written by Pete to the Boomers and Lynn, there is no-one else one could wish for praise from than a man who has lived his beliefs all his life as Pete has.
